Bumble Bee RV Park and Campground is a family owned and operated campground.  Ten years ago Tim McBride, owner, had visions of a campground.  After 2 years in the making, Bumble Bee RV Park and Campground opened on Memorial Day 2004.  Michele, Tim's daughter, helped out as office manager.  She has said, "I've met so many wonderful people that I like to consider them my extended Bumble Bee family."  Michele has since taken another full-time job and says she misses seeing everyone at the campground.

Bumble Bee RV Park and Campground is not a large campground. There are 35 RV Sites and 14 Tent sites.  The RV Sites are a comfortable size allowing campers ample "breathing room". There are pull-through sites with full hookups and available sites for motor homes. The Tent Sites are nicely arranged and quite private.  Tim took care to create a campground setting under a canopy of huge Maples, Pines, Cherries, and Oak trees; some Oaks being over 100 years old.

The campground is not formal.  However, Tim strictly enforces the campground rules and regulations for the safety and enjoyment of all campers especially families with children.  It has been nice to see campers taking their pet for a walk, letting their children play together, and socializing with new friends. The bathhouse sets Bumble Bee RV Park and Campground apart from the others!  It is bright and kept very clean and sanitary.  Michele has said, "Dad is always uptight about making sure the bathhouse is clean for the campers."

There are other perks about camping at Bumble Bee RV Park and Campground, one of which is Tim himself.  Tim has done everything from helping fix RV's to helping start campfires for tent campers. Another feature is the water supply is kept bacteria free by an ultraviolet light system.

Whether a first time camper or a veteran, Tim tries to make everyone's stay enjoyable.  For your next vacation getaway, please consider coming to Bumble Bee RV Park and Campground at Deep Creek Lake, Maryland.  And Bee a Happy Camper!

Tim is gone, but not forgotten.  We are still following Tim's reputation for keeping a super clean bathhouse and  nicely manacured, family campground.

Come camp with us.
